Everyday Heroes Of the Past Week

This may become a new practice, this week in review. Highlights, hearty guffaws, and joys. Here are just a few of the folks on my "Everyday Heroes" list.

My sister Mary ,niece Amanda and their friend Linda for journeying down last week. They understood my shortened- shopping excursion excuse ( crowds can sometimes bug me),without my even having to explain.
Hearty Guffaws: the "White Hearse-WTF was THAT???!!" moment...as it rolled on by sister's gorgeous house. Obviously lost.

The elderly man at Shaws who braved the blizzard (as i did,) shuddering and caked with snow( as i was) who quipped " Hey..you watch out for those mosquitoes out there". Lightening-quick wit always gets my vote.

I am private in mentioning my children online, in any forum. But the greatest heroes i know, through any kind of warfare, are my three adult children.So..here's to:
My courageous daughter for allowing her laughter to return, after the most heartbreaking occurance that can happen in life. I thank her for the joy it brought me to hear her peal of laughter again.
My sons, whom if mentioned in birth order or the like would disrespect their privacy. One has returned to school on a new path, One more has begun similar contemplation and necessary steps in consideration of a new direction. Regardless of how scarey change may be, all three of my kids are no strangers to it. And they rock it with aplomb!!!
Mary and Amanda, Kathy and Jenny who patiently and happily spread the word and tech assistance about the scarves and stuff i crochet. Of course, the ladies who have bought them are included in adding to my warm fuzzies. Especially Deb.
  I have more..but i also have a schedule. i could lull here much longer.But I wont.
Everybody knows heroes in their lives. Deeds smallest to greatest, things that may go unnoticed by others. It never takes anything spectular to have a difference made in your day, or to make one in someone else's.

Blizzard Madness

5:25 a.m.

Weather doesn't usually stop me from going out, but I gotta tell ya-if i ventured out in
this blizzard, I'd be plow food.
I put up some of the wearables I crochet, as was the partial intent for this blog to begin with. The thing is, those are all sold, or have been gifted. I do know the patterns by heart, however.
These never take me long to whip up.
Next flex-of-the-leap is an etsy gig. Spring isnt far off, and I've begun playing with stitches etc for light, bright, and different designs. My filing system is abhorrent. Since i dont usually write anything down except for little notes on a creation, there are myriads of index cards and scraps of paper with jots . Its the same system when I write poetry. Backs of checks, receipts..so forth.
Hey, it works for me.
Chances are the wifi/satellite has a temporary expiration date today so i am glad to have accomplished this while we have it.

A few of the Wares.

Blog Shudder

Okay so, I began this endeavor in a whir of enthusiasm . With that, the tone of the day was set and I went about it with only mild trepidation.I walked alongside my daughter at 6:20 this morning on a trek I barely remember, due, not to the early hour ( as I am a morning person anyway) but to the ideas and insecurities clamoring for air time in my already ping-ponging brain: what if i screw this layout up- sheesh..thats really a large picture-how do i stick my crochet patterns and projects on there...and so forth. Ad nauseum.
What quelled the monkeybrain effect was listening to the steady light crunch of my boots against the carpet of fresh snow, and thinking how the skeletanous trees looked as if they were swathed in billows of glittering cotton batting. I love the morning gumps. As is my norm, they range from 1.5 to 2 hours. today's was especially sublime.
I figure this is mostly for my eyes only lest a blizzard of "followers" suddenly join in. So freedom of expression is uncorked from the dusty cask that was forgotten in a Blair-Witch-style basement for far too long.
I even began a scarf today from a pattern that was being fine-tuned. It's a thrill to have people want to purchase them. I hope to figure out the how-to's of posting them here, or doing an Etsy store.
One bold endeavor at a time, though. In a few hours i can go to sleep, satisfied with the fulfillment of creating the day i wanted. An intent i remind myself of every morning with one little query : " What do i want today to look like?"  I go from there.
I'll even sleep in satisfied self acceptance and not rumination. Typos herein and everything.
New to blogging. No clue about layouts and such. Bear with me, but Jeremy Irons
said it best in the movie " The Man In the Iron Mask" : " I'm an artist, not an engineer!!"
